My applet handles file uploads and downloads. So I need to ask for permission like this:
PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege( "UniversalPropertyRead" );
PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege( "UniversalFileRead" );
PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege( "UniversalFileWrite" );
This activates three messages, one after the other, asking the user for permission to do this sort of thing. The message that pops up has a big box to show what stuff is being asked for. I suspect that there is a way to ask for all three at once. Is there a way?

I believe you can do this by using the macro target: UniversalFileAccess
i.e.
PrivilegeManager.enablePrivilege( "UniversalFileAccess" );
The following link explains it: http://developer.netscape.com/docs/manuals/signedobj/targets/index.htm

Hey Nathan, how's life with my castoffs?
The trouble with universal is that if my user does just read stuff, I wanna only ask for read permission. Then if they wanna do some write stuff too, I ask for read and write permission.
