applet not initialized

hi, i have an applet in swing. i have downloaded the plug in and used htmlconverter. yet i get the above message in IE5. appletviewer is fine..
anyone who can throw a light on this one will have one grateful person.

You need to look at the "Java Console" to see what is happening. My guess is that since it works in AppletViewer, it is probably a security issue.

Would you please write steps for me how to install Pluh-In and where you put those files.
are they should be in the same directory as Netscape or IE?
i think there is the problem.
I'm getting same problems as you,but i'm still trying to download plug_in and i don't know what is going with it.

Hi
I'm getting the same problem,my applet that use method " double.parseDouble(String) " runs using applet viewer.but it doesn't runs using the browser.
I download Plug_In 1.2 from sun and I'm not sure about where i shoulkd put,is it in the same directory of Netscape(that support java 1.1.5 ,that i have).
it still not working.
Please can you help with it.
