Hi
Check the APPLET tag in your html file,it should include the class name as CODE="fileName.class".
fileName should be compatible with the java file name(the same name).
i hope that will help.

Partha,
I have tried to use NetScape Navigator and apparently the situation is the same.
Enirad, obviously if it can run in appletviewer, the CODE tag must have been set to the correct class already, otherwise it would not run even in appletviewer.
Any more suggestions ?
Herbert.

I know this is an old topic but I have just been dealing with a problem as such, IE5 and NN tend to be using JDK 1.1, I bet you've used something which is JDK 1.2 and this is what the browser is incapable of finding, Appletviewer has no probs cos it runs Jdk 1.2, try changing any 1.2 methods and replace them with 1.1 methods and try again......

Have a look at the Java Console in IE to see where the error is coming from. The browser is probably using an old version of the JRE (IE 5 uses 1.1 or something ridiculous).
