Applet runs under Appletviewer but not in Browser???? why????

Hi Guys,
I have created applet problems... It is perfectly working under Appletviewer but not in the browser..
I'm having jdk1.3
IE 5.0
Netscape Navigator 4.5
And i Couldn't see other Java Applet return sites like in
1.in www.dialpad.com i couldn't see the dialing Numbers
2.I couldn't see java greetings..
Can you Pl!!! anyone tells me what's is the remedy!!!

Hi,
you need to convert your HTML file first before you can run the applet under IE5 or Netscape, because those browsers don't use Java 2 yet,which I assume you are trying to use. You'll get a "class not found" kinda message then. Look for the HTML converter on Sun's plugin page. Here you will find a converter with a nice GUI that you can use to convert your files.
note: for other's to see your applets on for instance a webpage they have to download a 4Mb plugin for Java2 once first (I know..it sucks).
