How to pass the value of a button from an applet, to another applet of different page...? i'd designed an applet with a textfield and three buttons Save,Modify and View. these buttons should call the same applet and the values are fetched from database for that particular name. but the button values should be passed to have save, view or modification functionalities. help me...

Hi Friend,
Well look what u r trying to do is not possible from applets , because u are trying to write or read from a database , for which there is no permissions in applets, what u can do is to write a servlet, which fetches the values from the applet in the request as post or get( there is a considerable code u ll have to write for that), write them or read from( as reqd) from the database and parse the values back to the applet as its response.Meanwhile just to check what uve made is functionally correct u can change ur applet to application and then try the same thing as applications have no restrictions on the same pc but applet wont- and if u dont want to write the servlet also ull have to change the policy setting by the policy tool in jdk for the particular pc, I think this should solve ur problem,
If anything else is reqd, let me know.
Regards,
Daman
