WHICH METHOD DOES THE BROWSER CALL FIRST IN AN APPLET?
CONSTRUCTORS, INIT, START.

Hi Ritu,
init() is called when the applet is first launched. It works like a constructor and lets you initialize whatever is needed for the applet.
start() is called second (automatically). It usually has code in it to start/restart threads.
stop() is called third and is executed when you leave the applets page.
destroy() is called last, after exiting the browser. This cleans up non-memory dependent resources.

The order of the methods called is
init()
start()
paint()
stop()
destroy()
