a question about layout managers.

hi,
am i permitted to post mock xam questions?.
given below is a question.
When used with a LayoutManager, A java.awt.Insets object ________.
1 controls indented text within java.awt.TextArea objects
2 determines where to position inside a container
3 manages context-sensitive menus
4 manages free space distribution within a layout manager
5 controls spacing between components
i think the answer is 4. could anybody please tell what the right answer is?.

According to Sun's documentation:

An Insets object is a representation of the borders of a container. It specifies the space that a container must leave at each of its edges. The space can be a border, a blank space, or a title.

The wording of the mock exam question is not very clear. It does not say what it is positioning inside the container (presumably components).
However, based on the information given, I would select #2 as the correct answer:
2 determines where to position inside a container
