Hi , I wanna connect my Access Database with my applet using
JDBC-ODBC Driver. But I'm getting the exception -
access denied (java.lang.RuntimePermission accessClassInPackage.s
n.jdbc.odbc). Why is it so ? On the other hand, I have a limitation - I cant use Type 3 or 4 drivers, But would like to know that if I use them, would my problem get solved ?

Yes Type 3 and 4 drivers allow you to access your database
from the applet.

I had the same issue, (and still do), the only way I could get it to work was change from an applet to a console app. I gave up on the applet idea because nobody had a clue as to how it was done.
