how to get value from javascript in applet?

Hi.
i want to get value from javascript in applet.i used following statement in applet: JSObject win=JSObject.getWindow(this);String value=(String)win.eval("getValue"); System.out.println(value); getValue is a javascript function which return String value. i runned it ,result show undefined.
Please help me with your talent.

did u add MAYSCRIPT in the applet tag in html ?
also , if u are using IE, try replacing eval(<function name> )
with call(<functionname>, null).
