Hi friends,
my friend has formwarded me a pblm. I didn't know where to turn to,so I am putting in this forum. If possible, could u please give the appropriate code for this pblm.
Problem.
-------
I am able to run an applet from the appletviewer but in the browser it throws up the error access control : acess denied(java.net.socket <url> resolve) . When using the appletviewer i use my own policy file to overide the default java file to let the applet open an socket in the server. My question is "can you overide the security features of a browser to get the applet to run in the browser.?". in other words can yo modify the Security Manager.
with warm regards,
Arun J Martin.

It sounds like you need to override the default implementation of SecurityManager.
