Hi,
I read all topics related with Writing Files From An Applet. After I created the required policy file, i typed the following on my dosprompt:
"appletviewer -J-Djava.security.policy=FilePolicy FileApplet.htm"
After which it worked on the Appletviewer and also on IE5. But when i tried Netscape Navigator it says:
"Applet FileApplet can't start: ERROR"
I dont understand why it does not recognize my Applet.
The Permissions i gave are:
grant codeBase "file:///d:/Java"; {
permission java.io.FilePermission "<<ALL FILES>>", "read, write, delete, execute";
};
-----------------------------------------------------------------
"file:///d:/Java"; is the path where the
Policy File and my Applet (FileApplet.java) are placed.
What could be the remedy for this problem.......
Waiting for some help........
Thanks,
Arvind Karanth
