Hi, I have a question about debugging applets that communicate with servlets thru tomcat. I put some System.out in the applets, and understandably, they didn't show up (perhaps that applets run outside of tomcat server). So, how can I debug applets that seem to have bugs communicating with servlets in tomcat?
Also, the applet can only be called thru HTTP since if getCodeBase().getProtocol() is not "http" it will just return with some error message. So appletviewer or putting it in a Frame in someplace is out of question.

hi , the reason you don't see it is because it's hidden from you. What you must do is enable java console to be shown though the browser if it's not yet enabled then go to tools on IE advanced option and where it says java section hit the checkbox to enable java console . Also if you go to your Control panel there Java Plugin start it and check it's option show consol. Now wheneever you run the applet the consol will be fired up and you will your S.O.P's and errors with descriptions if any.
