Hello guys
First of all I would like to tell you'll that please dont mind.I know I am posting innumerous questions on this forum these days.(I know it is sometimes irritating)But to be frank, I AM NEW TO THIS PROGRAMMING WORLD!! and I dont understand most of the concepts.Since there are 2 weeks left for my SCJP test, I am at present in helter-skelter state...I really dont know what am I gonna do in the test.
I found JavaRanch the best of all and especially a few people who are always there to answer my questions(silly ones too)..
Thanx for not minding much and co-operating..
Once again, please dont mind..
Thank you all guys for being so co-operative.
Any suggestions/comments welcome!!
Sonir

I understand how stressful it can be when preparing for an exam. However, here are a few things you might like to consider doing so that you will increase you chances of getting help:
  • Is it all possible for you to find a computer that has a Java compiler? If so, then please try compiling your code first before posting a question like "What is the output??" You obviously have access to a computer. Are you not able to install the JDK on the machine you are using to post messages here?
  • Please familiarize yourself with the online API JavaDocs. There are a lot of things that you could have looked up faster than it took to post a message and wait for a reply. By doing this, you will demonstrate consideration for other people's time and effort. Some people won't even bother to answer you if they know it can be found in the JavaDocs. If you have trouble finding something in the JavaDocs, at least say "I tried finding X in the JavaDocs but couldn't...what am I missing?" to demonstrate that you made an effort.
  • Don't panic. If you don't feel you are prepared to take the exam in two weeks time, you can still reschedule for a later date, can't you?

  • Good luck!

    Also to everybody
please try to ident your code. Using UBB is very easy.
maybe I am getting old, but i spent half of the time if code is properly formatted.

actually to be on the safe side if you feel you are not ready for the exam you can postpone it. its the same for me. i have been postponing it myself, coz it costs bucks. right ? and what's the point in taking a test if you are not fully prepared.
just my thoughts. coz i feel i am not ready yet and can't throw my bucks for mere experience. i hope its not a hassle postponing the test for you.
    but anyway all the best.
