I've heard that it is necessary to memorize all of the classes and methods for java.io
I get most of the basic principles and know some of the classes, but how deep does the I/O portion get?
And...is there any other good place to study the package other than the java docs?
thanks!

Hi Mike,
The best place to read about Java I/O, I think is in book by Khaled Mughal(Programmer's guide to Java certification) Incidently Java I/O (chapter 18) happens to be available free on net. I bought the book on reading that chapter.
Rgds.,
