Hi All.
I have been a visitor (and a participant) on JavaRanch for quite sometime now. Thought I'd just pop in a msg to everyone who toil for making JRanch such a wonderful place.
Have learnt quite a bit here & even though, I haven't yet passed the SCJP ( since I havent' given it as yet ) ... just thought I'd thank all the hardworkers here. Usually the trend is to post a thank you note after passing the exam, but I am doing this before my exam
Am about to enter in the world of mock exams now... and would be actively posting from now on till I join all the SCJPs.
Have read the RHE once... have gone thru JLS once, as well... & yes, would like to say that a lot of things cleared up in my head after I read JLS... though I didn't understand the language all that well (its a bit cryptic!). Its worth one reading before the exam in my personal opinion. RHE is a great book from the exam point of view, but JLS gets your fundamentals clear.
I am sure a lot of people ( like me) would find reading JLS quite tedious, but even if I remember half of the stuff I read there, Its more than worth it.
Well... wish me luck... and thx to JRanch again, for awesome preparation tools & advice.
Cheers
