Well, just so you know, I passed SCJP last year in September and I forgot to send back the logo request form. So I did that 10 days ago (mid-march!!) and I got my logos today. Maybe that's because I'm leaving just next to Sun's HQ, who knows
The bottom line is I don't know why it takes more than 5 months for certain people...

How much time does it take to get a cartifiate?
When the result is available in the online database? What it is this logo? Where can you use it? What does the certification include?

It took me ten days to get the certificate after the exam. Then I waited 6 month to send the logo agreement form. And again, 10 days to get the logos. So three weeks in all. The logos are, well, "ScJP2" logos that you can put on your CV or business card valid for 3 years.
What does the certification include?

I mean what else you get along with the certificate? I thought it's only certificate, but getting logo is also cool! Is there something else? Like getting a cool "Duke mascot", I'd love to put on my comp at home!!! A coffee mug with Java(tm) logo perhaps...

Is the logo the same thing as what you get on the pin (cup of java)?. I saw the pin and i was a bit disappointed.. I like the Sun Blue/Lavender and its actual logo..

I fiiled out some form and sent back to Sun. I got ID/passwd for logo. My question is what/how we can do with logo?

Hi,

The logos are, well, "ScJP2" logos that you can put on your CV or business card valid for 3 years.

what happens after 3 years? need to retake the exam again???

after 3 years a technology will have evolved. You'll probably need to hit the books again unless you are still active in the field in which case the exam is just a matter of paying $150 again
