I have trouble downloading 40 megabytes of j2se1.4. Can someone send me the only essential exe files(javac, java, etc) to komal_panthi@yahoo.com
Thank you very much!

I guess JAR files is what you need, but with out installing a full kit, I dont think it will be worth trying to set up 1.4 part by part.
If you look out for any CDs that comes with PC Magazines ( DataQuest, PCWorld etc - assuming that you are from India/SouthAsia), it should have the latest version buddled. Or try with any of the local PC assembling setups.
Cheers,
Ashok.

Welcome to the JavaRanch! Please adjust your displayed name to meet the JavaRanch Naming policy. Particularly, a first name, space, followed by a last name. You can change your displayed name here.
Thanks! And again, welcome to the JavaRanch!

Just out of interest why is java ranch so strict about this naming policy? Surely it does no harm to allow users to have a single word for their 'identity' here?

Ashok M,
Your name does not meet the JavaRanch naming requirements. Please adjust your display name or your account will be closed.

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
