Hi, if i use an optional package such as JAXP or Java3D in an Applet, how can i be sure that the client machine that runs this applet has the appropriate java plugin with the optional packages installed. Sun micro provides a utility for dchaecking and downloading the lates plugin from their site, but what about the optional packages. Regards, Amit

I think that you have to build a jarfile for your applet sending the needed stuff to the client ?! To my knowledge only the most necessary standard AWT and JAVA things are available directly in 'all sorts of browsers'.
