Hi moderators,
{Programmer Certification Study
(Moderated by: Valentin Crettaz, John Wetherbie, Jessica Sant, Corey McGlone)}
there used to be a link called "search" in scjp forum=24,
my profile |search| register | faq | forum home , under post new topic.
this is very useful link, when we want to go back and look what all discussion happened in scjp forum say for eg: threads or this or super(), we used to get search page results in scjp forum relating to that topic.... now for some reasons this link is removed.
Can you pls help us ,saying, where can we perform that similar search again,to get that similar results, now there is a google search provided, but when i search here saying "threads" and selecting saloon.javaranch.com it displays all the links where threads is found but not the links only related to sjcp forum, it displays all the links.
Pls help us in getting back that link, or pls let us know how can we perform the similar search....
thanks for your help in advance
waiting for ur advise

Hi moderators,
small suggestion from my side, if javaranch has decided to go with google search,then, if we can have a small select box beside search-button which has these values,

Sun Certified Web Component Developer
Programmer Certification Study
Developer Certification
Architect Certification
Mock Exam Errata
Sun Certification Results
XML Certification
Product and Other Certifications

so that while searching ,one can select from which forum they want to make a search,then do a search, then it will be really great.,
i know right now we have options of
saloon.javaranch.com
www.javaranch.com
the web
but selecting saloon.javarach.com and searching for something gives a big list of 10,000 odd links where we dont know which discussion is from which forum.... so
hoping to hear from you ....
thanks
srini

I have to agree with Srinivas on this one. I can't find a way to narrow the search down to a specific forum.

thanks Val.
Now, we found the way to get the old posts, using google.
My suggestions:
this may help others.
ex: if you want to find out the poss paricipated by Maha Anna( Her reg no : 300) on the topic Threads, you can use
"thread+Programmer Certification Study 300"
it just gives you around 200 posts.
The following may still help you.. Its better, if we have a list like this, with the reg numbers( not all, may be,with no of posts >400)
anna maha-> 300
Valentin Crettaz -->19511
jessica-->21685
corey--> 24085
Junilu Lunar-->10230
Ajith kallambella->643
Thomas Paul-->970
Jim Yingst -->290
Dave Vick-->13304
Rob Ross -->24441
Tony Alicea--293
we can further extend the above list of imp reg numbers( like Jamal, Paul Vallingca etc..)
Thought, it helps all..
