I'saw a page on the web witch had an cursor that when u moved it
a light followed the cursor, I'm a entry level programer of java
but we didn't cover a lot of applets in my course, can anybody help me to learn how to do this

Have a look at the "java.awt.Cursor" class.
(But how to make some image as the cursor?)

you see they made these nice mouse tails that follow you when you are on there page, and i want to do it for a customer of ours but don't any idea how, almost like water ripples
please notify me is you find anything out about how to do that

To get a trail with the cursor movement,in the mousemoved event trap the cursor's X,Y positon and start drawing or painting whatever you want at that location.Further you can use threads to control each drawString() so that you can make the string dance or feel as if they are moving.In this way your cursor will always have the trail following.
