Hi,
Iam planning to take the scjp 1.4 certification by end of jan' 2003 .I started reading Complete Java 2 Certification Study guide by Philip Heller & Simon Roberts. Is this book enough for the certification or is there any book you would suggest. Please can any one suggest me the sites for mock exams or any sites which will help me for the certification.
Thanks
Ravi

levteck.com has a list of mock tests. Not sure whether CJCSG is enough. I also am preparing with that book only.

Use kathy + mughal's book and also dan chisholm tests
I am veering around to the view that this may be all that is needed for scjp (simon/ heller is very basic) - but more feedback from experienced scjp candidates may help

I started preparing using Heller & Roberts CJ2CSG book - I don't think it is good enough to be your only resource, as the practice exams are far too weak (and include 1.2 questions) and Collections are not covered well enough.
However, you'll be fine if you also study some of the tutorials you can find online (I used Sun and DeveloperWorks) and the many practice exam questions (try Dan Chisholm's - very hard, but if you can average more than 60% on them the real exam is easy). Reading JavaRanch helps too
