Can somebody who's taken this exam recently confirm that there is no GUI stuff on it anymore, nor I/O stuff. I just read that on the Sun site, but I wanted to double check.
Also the Sun site said there is now more Assertion questions, as well as Collection, equals, hashcode, and Wrapper Class questions. The book I've been using doesn't go over this material in very much detail, so can somebody direct me to a site that may have this stuff reviewed concisely, I'm taking the test in 2 weeks, and don't really want to buy another book either. Please no recommendations to read the specifications, I can do that myself, but going that route is usually a huge time suck.

You are correct, no AWT, no I/O on the 1.4. And assertions , collections, equals, hashCodes, and wrappers are definitely on the SCJP 1.4 exam.
Stick with JavaRanch - there are a ton of great resouces here that will absolutely focus you on the correct topics!

Within http://wwww.javacertificate.com we have spli-up each objective individually, so you can practice each objective.
You can find plentry questions to practice on Collections and Assertions.
As confirmed already the AWT and IO has been removed for SCJP 1.4, was part of SCJP 1.2

Thanks, everybody I appreciate it. I am getting a little nervous about the exam in less than 2 weeks now. I am still scoring slightly below 70%. I was really hoping to crank out mid to high 80s during practice so to have some breathing room. And I'm saving the Marcus Green stuff for the end, I hear they are tough.
