I was taking a mock exam and all of the choices on one question looked incorrect to me. However, there was no option for "None of the above". So I chose one I wasn't 100% sure about.
Well I missed the question and the answer said I should have not chosen any of them!
Is this going to happen on the real exam?
I thought you were required to answer each question. And if none were correct you would get to choose "None of the above", not just skip the question.
Thanks.

We have seen some people getting questions in the exam which apparantly had no correct answer. However, as per our personal experience we haven't really seen any such question.
One possibility is, there could be a small mistake (unintentional) in the question statement because of which the right answer according to the exam does not seem to be right. In such cases, the candidate may feel that there is no correct option.

Howdy, yes you are *always* supposed to answer a question on the SCJP, and there will never be a "none of the above" answer on the exam. We had those on previous versions of the exam (a long time ago), but they are not in the exam today.
In fact, you folks are a little lucky -- in the old exams you did not even know how many answers were correct-- ALL were selectable! Now *that* sucked.
You may see a question that does not appear to you to have a correct answer from the choices listed. Be assured that there IS a right answer, and try to re-read and perhaps reinterpret the question or look at the answers in another way.
cheers,
Kathy

Gosh, what a scary question. Thank you Kathy for clarifying that issue.
