Cannot start Tomcat3.2.1 in WinMe

Hello All,
I have installed tomcat3.2.1 in Windows Millenium edition. It fails to start by saying that not enough size for environment variables. Is it b'cause of 8.3 format names?
can anyone please help me?

Better to ask this in the J2EE forum. It sounds like your DOS-box environment size is too small, though.

I guess it�s because the dos memory protection of the Me. Try to download a tool that can give you back the real DOS-mode, maybe you can find something in http://www.geocities.com/mfd4life_2000/

Thanks guys. I increased the memory for environment variables in DOS and it worked. thanks a lot for the help.
