+Pie Number of slices to send: Send
First of all, I'm new in java programming and doing my final year project. I had created a applet that can get a file name and insert it into the database.Its succesful and fulling running if i use appletviewer.
But, when I run at IE browser, it only can display the textfield and button while the button not actived.
When i run at netscape, there is error
"java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: java.awt.Component:method setbound()".
I'm using netscape 4.05 and internet explorer 5.
may I know what is my problem and how to solve it.
Thanks in advances.

afzan,
I think you will get more answers in the applets forum, so I will move it there. Also I know this question has been asked and answered several times so you can try the search feature(it is in the upper right of the page).
I hate to say this but, your name does not comply with the Javaranch naming guidelines which can be found at http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp
please register again with a valid name.

Afzan,
Make sure you are not using Java 2 because the browser won't support it. You will need to use only AWT components and Java 1.1.8 if you are using the broswer JVMs.
You can use Java 2, but you will need to download the plug-in from Sun and change your HTML code to work with it.

Manfred.
