hi,
i have signed my applet by using a self-signed certificate using microsoft tools(bcoz i have to deploy my applet in Internet Explorer only), even for compling java file also i have used jvc compiler from microsoft.
my applet work is it has to read a open and read an excel file and create a new file in the local hard disk and write that readed excel data to the newly created file. i written the code to do this. when i was executing this applet in my IE browser i was getting two bugs along a stack trace these are
1.com.ms.security.SecurityExceptionEx[xlrd/CSVApplet.init]: cannot access file c:\xlrd12\xlout.xml
2.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: xlrd.Workbook
is it possible to create a new file in local hard disk thru applet?
is it possible to open a com component like excel file?
i was thankful to any one who provides a solution to this problem
regards
srinivas.
