I want to transfer the display contents b/w 2 applets on 2 different machines i.e I have 2 applets connected to a server. I also have created the necessary object input and output streams. I want to update the display of applet2 with the contents from applet1. Whenever applet1's display changes, it should be updated in applet2 also. I tried to pass the Graphics object and the Image object but could not do so since they are not serializable. How can I pass the contents b/w the applets ?

Moving this to the applet's forum!
Also can you please register with a name that complies with the Javaranch Naming policy http://www.javaranch.com/name.jsp . Just one or two more letters on your second name should do it, as long as it looks like a proper name!

Try to put the object in a vector and pass this vector to other applet thru the server. Let the other applet get the required object from the vector and display it. I am using the same technic by sending Point[] object in a vector. It works.

I am trying exactly that by trying to pass the Image reference as an element in a vector but I get a NotSerializableException. The api says that Image is an platform-dependant implementation. Are there any alternatives by which I can pass the image reference to the other applet ?
