Hi,
As I understand it, there are 3 possible SCJP exams that one can sign up for:
exams #310-022 (for Java 1.1 platform), 310-025(for Java 2, 1.2 platform), and 310-035 (for Java 2, 1.4 platform).
a. am I correct? (please set me straight if I'm not)
b. for one who has no java program certification, which of these would you recommend that I pursue? (Perhaps all?) I assume that passing the latest exam is the best course of action, but I'd like to hear your opinion.
c. Thanks :-)

there are currently only two Java Certifications offered for someone who has no other Java Certs:
310-025(for Java 2, 1.2 platform), and 310-035 (for Java 2, 1.4 platform).

I'd recommend taking the 310-035 exam (1.4) -- it tests the most current version of the Java Platform so I believe it will have more of a weight in industry.
Check out our Bunkhouse for book recommendations.
