Hi guys,
Can any one tell me, do we need know most of the methods in the Collections for the exam. Is it ok if we just know the general usage and efficiancies of the Collection classes. because i have seen some questions(javacertificate.com) where we need to know lots of methods in these collection classes.
Thanks,
Krishna.

Krishna,
It is not necessary to memorize the methods of the collections classes and interfaces. The exam objectives are as follows.
  • Make appropriate selection of collection classes/interfaces to suit specified behavior requirements.
  • Distinguish between correct and incorrect implementations of hashcode methods.

    Hi Krishna,
You do not need to know java.util.Collection methods. Just understand where each collection should be used. K&B covers this chapter quite well.
    Good Luck.
