i have a java game applet i am trying to put on the web. however, ive used getImage(getCodeBase()...) and getDocumentBase, but the images still won't be displayed the images are in the same folder as the html and class files. ive tried using getImage(new URL(getCode or DocumentBase() also, with no success. I am trying to upload the applet to a tripod account and another, and both dont work. The rest of the applet loads just fine, it just doesnt display the images.

Hmmm... getImage( getCodeBase(), "name.gif" ) should work fine... Have you tried to run this applet offline on your computer by just opening the html file with a browser? If this works, then it is a problem with Tripod. Lots of 'free' web hosting sites mess with stuff you put on there... they might be screwing up your images or html... on the other hand, your images might be screwed up. Try to display your images on the web page to see if they display correctly.

Yep, ive tried it offline, the images work if you just view them on the web. It all seems like it should work, so i guess its tripod. I also have an account at CMU, and i tried it their and that also didnt work.
