I am registered for the exam with Pearson VUE (www.vue.com) and the cost for the exam (Exam 210-035 through Sun Academic Initiative) is 55 Euros (discount price for members of Sun Academic Initiative). I have also seen that Prometric offers exactly the same exam for 129 Euros.
Does anybody know why is this and what are the benefits/drawbacks of registering with each company?
Also it seems that Pearson VUE does not have the exam on Java Web Component Developer which I am planning to do immediately after SCJP.

Hi Karolos,
Prometric also supports the SAI program (check here). I think the 129 Euros exam is the regular SCJP 310-035 exam (129 Euros approximately equivalent to US$ 150), instead of the SAI 212-035 SCJP exam. Currently the SAI doesn't provide Java certification other than the SCJP 1.4 exam.
For more information about SAI, check here.

Dear Karlos
You Pl buy the voucher directly from SUN office.
You may register with any Prometric Testing center near by with the voucher number.
That is better.Do not try to buy from any third party and why to buy like that ?When SUN sells ??

Dear Kadiyala,
Thank you for your concern and your kind advice but I got the voucher number directly from Sun(through my Sun Academic Initiative home page there is a link that can give you this number) and with this voucher number I registered with Pearson VUE for the exam. I think this process is clean and 100% legit.
If everything goes well on Friday(24/02) and I pass the exam with this method then I will be happy to suggest this way to other people as well.

Regards,
Karolos
