Hi All,
I am basically c and unix shell scripy guy with some knowledge on PERL...I have been working in PLM area for 4 years wherein I have used C and Unix...I have decided to upgrade my skillset to JAVA,XML etc..so I have started reading java and practising Off and On for 3 months now...I have taken Marcus green exam last month and scored 27% and went through the tutorial topics on JCHQ.net and some more in JAVARANCH..practised a lots rules round up game ..etc..I was doing and getting the concepts better and clear..there came the mardigras party my friend wanted me to join with him..I went to mardigras festival in neworleans..3 days gone ..had a good time and did not study for 10 days and started flipping pages again last week and took the marcus green exam today to check where I am ..gosh I was improving ..this time 43.33%..but I could have been better..I have lost grip ..I need to know..how can I go from here to take exam..to score atleast 70%....Also need to know what are the things you I should concentrate on assertions and collection framework/hashtable..looks like collection frame work and hashtable it pretty vast topic..do I have to go through everything or some key aspects of it..any inputs will be greatly appreciated..I want to take the exam..in April first week at any cost..thank you guys...

I would suggest getting a good SCJP prep book. You can find a lot of reviews in the Bunkhouse.
Although I used Mughal and Rasmussen, a lot of people really like the recent on by Bates and Sierra, who, of course, are regulars here at the Ranch so you can go right to the authors with questions.
Continue hanging out at the Ranch and ask/answer questions and take some mock exams - in my opinion, those are the best ways to prep for the exam.
