Aruna, your question is exactly the same as mine. Find a post from me in this same forum and that might show some light. I am in the exact same position: working with .Net wanting to work with Java in which I have some previuos experience. I came to the conclusion that it will be benefitial to get certified in both techonologies. But that is going to take time so you have to take it easy. There's no quick magic solution. Just doing the
SCJP won't get you a job in Java. But it's a start. So I reckon take some of the .Net offers now and start getting certifications in Java. Also get some in Microsoft as that might help getting a better rate. The thing is you can't do this in a hurry. It's a plan for the next year or so. If you are like me you still need a job NOW so go ahead and get one of those offers in .Net while you get certified.
I think I am telling all this to myself!!

Well there you go, that's what I am going to do anyway. If you like it, welcome to join me in this journey ...
