Hi all:

I am sure most of you have come across the Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exam 310-035 & 310-027)
written by Kathy Sierra/Bert Bates. I am just wondering, is the book itself alone + lots of agressive mock exam practices enough to guarantee to score weel on the SCJP exam?

My second question is since this is the time I have ever taken a SCJP exam. I am just wondering say, in 2 months, i have become an SCJP 1.4 certified developer, and in a year or so, Java 1.5 comes out, I would probably need to write the SCJP 1.5 exam again, correct? So bascially, I just have to keep on writing the exams to get certified for a certain version of Java in order to get recognized in the industry...correct?

please do let me know....

Many thanks...

yes , K&B is the book u wud surely like to have when u prepare for SCJP1.4 . a thorough reading of the book and lots of practice tests will definitely put u on the right track.

well , whenever Sun decides to certify ppl with the new version they also have an upgrade option for ppl with old ceritifcation. u just have to pass that. frankly thats not a thing to worry abt coz u stand to learn a gr8 amount from the certification.

I'm sure glad that he's gone. Now I can read this tiny ad in peace!
