Upon taking the SCJP exam I had around 2-3 questions regarding operator precedence

Ok. Then why there is no topic about operator precedence in K&B, or is it there in some chapter?

There is no need to learn how to evaluate complex expressions that require memorization of the entire operator precedence chart. The exam has been developed under the assumption that programmers typically use parentheses to control the order of evaluation. The exam does emphasize the fact that the cast operator has higher precedence than the additive and multiplicative operators. For that reason, it's a good idea to memorize the top four levels of the precedence chart.

It is also a good idea to memorize the five levels of the bitwise and logical operators and the conditional operators.
