Hi,

I am currently studying for the exam and am mainly reading Mugal and Rasmussens book and will soon be moving on to Kathy Sierra and Bert Bates
book. i mostly just doing the excercises in the books for programming practice, but feel like i'm not doing enough coding to get the skills required for the exam.

i'd appreciate it if people who have passed the exam can share their thoughts on the amount of coding one should do to prepare for the exam.

thanks,
Arun

mostly when I was studying for the exam... If I didn't quite understand a topic, I'd write a few short programs to "see what happen" when you do XXX.

Like when you're studying about classes and constructors... I found it helpful to write code like this to help me figure out what order these statements print out.

So I really don't think there's a prescribed amount that you need to code... but basically it depends on how you learn. I personally found that its helpful to code some examples to see for myself what is going to happen. But other folks, they learn just as well by just reading it.

When I studied it helped me a lot to try and code some examples that I really didn't believe to be correct. Most often of course they was. The last two days before the exam I hit concentrated on taking as many mock exams as possible. It worked for me.

I suggest huckleberry pie. But the only thing on the gluten free menu is this tiny ad:
