I always use KB book (hardcopy) as my primary reference. However, today I have forgotten to bring that book to work and using electronic copy from books24X7.com). I noticed that the book does not have Kathy and Bates as authors. Are there 2 different copies out there? Seems like the topics are not synch with the hardcopy as well.

Yup there's two books. I've used them both. The old one (non K&B) covers a lot of stuff NOT on the current 1.4 exam such as java,io and java.awt.

K&B's sample exam questions at the end of each chapter are WAAAAAAAAAY better.

The titles show the difference (035 vs 025). Here's how Amazon.com lists them:

Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exam 310-025)
by Inc Syngress Media

Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exam 310-035 & 310-027)
by Kathy Sierra

Thanks for the clarification. The Non-KB book seems to have better explaination on Vector, Hash, Set etc ... Other than that I still like KB on other chapters.
