Hi all,
I have just started my preparation to give the Java certification.
When I browsed through javaranch all are mentioning about the book by Kathy Sierra and Bet Bates is the best. I would like to know if the title of the book is

Sun Certified Programmer & Developer for Java 2 Study Guide (Exam 310-035 & 310-027)
by Kathy Sierra, Bert Bates
and also is this the book that I have to go through for giving
SCJP 1.4.
Please anyone help me out on this.

The name of the book is correct and yes that is the book you might want to start with for your SCJP 1.4 preparation.
