I have an Applet which runs fine in AppletViewer, but seems to hang up in a browser. I've already downloaded the Java Plug-In and used the HTML converter on the HTML file. Using the Java Console, I've found that there is an AccessControlException, specifically at java.net.SocketPermission %HOST% resolve where %HOST% is the name of my Web server. What causes this and how can I fix it?

An unsigned applet running in a browser is forbidden to talk to any server except the one it was loaded from. The AppletViewer has no such constraints.
