questions about beta exam!

hi all,
i have been away for a while and now i see posts about the beta exam ....can someone plz clarify wht it is and who shld take it as opposed to taking the programmer certificatin exam?

The Beta exam is the next version of the Programmer Certification, SCJP 5.0.
