Lol, mine's tomorrow (Feb 1st).
I asked the same question to the coordinator, and he said its to answer a survey, or to take a mock test so as to get adjusted with the environment. I dont remember now which was the correct reason, but thats it.

Hi shandilya ,
My preparation is too bad . although I have not given any mock test till now . Actually around 1 month back I gave the money but can't study as I thought . Now its like very tough to read everything .
But you should not feel like that . SCJP 1.4 is not that tough & you are prepared , just give some simple mock test , you will get confidence & read only K&B book that is easy & gives confidence ...
God will help you ... All the best .
bye .

Hi shandilya.....I am not able to attend in the sense ,attend correctly.
They seems to be really tough for me.I have posted questions like that in this forum and i have got help from our buddies in this forum.
Initially i took a test in javaprepare website, vals mock test.I was quite tough for me.May be i have to work more hard.i happen to see question on Collection, especially the method in Vector. but in K&B book Collection is not discussed in depth...so all these stands as a big question regarding my level of preparation.

One more thing i wish to know is that ,after getting the voucher from the website do v have to call and fix our date or the date is given in the voucher itself....Thanks in advance..

hi ramya

i think u need to take some easy tests to boost up ur confidence and go in later for the tougher ones.

u have to call up a prometric center or personally go there and register for the exam well that`s as far as india is considered

I took up the exam today, and passed with 90%. And I referred to Kathy and Bert's book. This book contains most of the things that you need to know, if not everything. But you will have to go through the book carefully, and read between the lines. And code as much as possible. The book is enough if you have coded a lot and you have some firm footing in java.

Oh.. and take up lots of mock exams.

All the best guys.

The exam tests you mainly on core concepts. There were some tricky questions in there, but you can easily recognise them, once you get some coding practice. I have been with Java for about 3 years now, but had to leave it in between on account of my career concerns. After I decided to come back, I have given it about 1-1.5 months hard work.See here. That should be enough.

I think 85% should do. Dont reschedule the exam, you will not gain any marked advantage. If you are referring to Kathy and Bert's, then go through the 2 minute drills with care(Again and again, if possible), and through the book in general. There are lots of things to be read between the lines.
