Hi-
I want to stream down a pdf from our database to the applet, and display it. Previosuly, I was pulling it out and writing it to the disk as atemp file. Then, it was easy to display using the AppletContexts showDocument() method. That approach caused a few headaches, maintenance and security predominantly. Now, I don't know what to do with the thing once I have it on the client. Should I extend AppletContext? Build a URL from the caceh location? Your government thanks you.

Sounds like the long way around. It's usually easier to just have the webserver just send the PDF as a PDF and let the browser handle the rest.

Hey Tim-
Sometimes the obvious is invisible. You're suggesting that we NOT receive it on the applet side, just send it down. Some of our original testing of the streaming did exactly that.
Thanks for the comment, I'll let you know.
