I need your help in getting the receipt for the Sun exam voucher.
I purchased a SCJP exam voucher on March 23, 2004 directly from Sun's Bangalore, India office. I did not received anything but the voucher from Sun. I appeared for the exam on December 31, 2004 and cleared it. Now I need to produce the purchase receipt for the voucher in my office's finance dept to get the amount reimbursed.
I tried contacting local Sun Education authority in Bangalore, but I'm afraid to say the response has been extremely poor. I did receive the response but doesn't seem to be promising at all in getting me anywhere despite of my repeated requests. I wasn't really expecting such a delay (more than 3 weeks) in producing a simple receipt. I wasn't really anticipating this sort of unaccountable and unreliable handling of clients from Sun even after producing all the info.
I've already provided all the details of the voucher#/DD/date/place and all the possible details the transanction could ever have.
I had sent a cheque initially, but it was not accepted so I sent the DD instead. I even received the the acknowledgement from Sun Customer Service upon receiving my DD
Could someone please help me direct the request to appropriate and reliable authority?

Your passing score sheet and any email you have received from them with them stating receiving the DD, or amounts should be enough. The email is really the only receipt that I know of that you can get. Not like getting a receipt from a restaurant or gas station.
Thanks folks for the replies. The transaction was not done with a CreditCard. I issued a Bank's demand draft (DD) in the favor of Sun Microsystems, Inc. The DD and the cover letter was submitted personally at the local Sun's office. Later I received the following acknowledgement.
Unfortunately it doesn't mention any amount in it. So it cannot be used as receipt. :roll:
Initially when I tried contacting the local Sun authority. I was told that they are not able to find any entry in database matching my name or voucher number. (surprising!). Then I provided them the Bank's Demand Draft number and other transaction details. They put me on hold for more than 2 weeks saying we need some time to get the help from Sun's accounts dept. I was told that the authority needs some kind of proof to validate the demand draft has been credited into Sun's account. After a multiple enquiry attempts they gave another excuse. This time the person in the Sun's finance has left and they do not have anybody(!!) to help them find the transaction record. (Note: It takes less than a min for the authorized account owner to call up the local Bank's CallCenter to confirm any transaction details. I myself received the details by calling Bank's CallCenter to confirm the demand draft issued to Sun from my account.)
This is surprising (at the same time absurd :confused to hear such excuses from Sun agency.
Is there is anything that I can do further to speed up the request? Its been more than month now and I'm starting to loose my patience.
