For
SCJP 1.4, there are only MC questions. You need to read lots of codes, but you dont need to write any.
For SCJP Tiger (which will be released soon), in addition to MC questions, you will have DND questions, which provides you certain "slots" and requires you to drag the correct answers from the choices, and drop it into the corresponding "slot".
But still, you will need lots of code practices.
