Hi
Can any one tell me how to sign an Applet for use with Browsers?
It seems an elaborate process, so any links on such resources, books & materials will help me out. Pls give me as many links as possible.
Thanks,
Senthil

Though the document Code Signing for Java Applets might be a bit outdated, it's still very usefull. As is the document you can find at http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/jozart/article/index.html.
Of course Sun's site also offers good, general information on the security of applets and signing applets. The lessons Quick Tour of Controlling Applets and Signing Code and Granting It Permissions might be a good start too.
Good luck,
Tim

I've been working on this as well. I found excellent help at http://www.suitable.com/Doc_CodeSigning.shtml.
It's dated '99.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to help me. It's focus, I assume is Netscape 4.76 and I'm working on 6.1. If anyone can point me to 6.1 specific instructions for code-signing, I'd really appreciate it.

Different versions of JVM & Browser makes this quite complex. Anyway thank you guys for those links.
Hope we'll have a nice (and long...) time with signed applets.
Regards,
Senthil.
