Hi,
I am a s/w engineer with 3 yrs of experience, looking out for a job in USA.As I have some time with me, while I am searching for a new job, I thought of giving Java certification.
Will the certification do any value addition to my resume?
Can anyone advice me on the same or let me know if there is anyother site where I can get an answer to my question.
Awaiting a reply,
Shetal

Doing any certification will add value. As you are certified by the Sun(Makers of java)it gives you a edge over those who have not.

Also imagine the attention you get on your resume if you add the sun logo to it.Invariably your resume will be noticed by all the companies and if you can prove your capabilities you invariably get through.

With 3 yrs of experience i think you should also go for the SCJD(Developer exam)which will further boost your chances exponentially.

All the best to you.Do keep us updated.
