I found 2 certification exams for java 5.0

1.Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 (CX-310-055) for $150.00

2.Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 Upgrade Exam (CX-310-056) for $100.00

which one is the correct SCJP5.0 and why its showing diff. prices?

i want to take scjp5.0 which one i've to go for?
Anybody plz clarify this?

Hi,

Both have different objective, appear for the first one if you want to be a java5.0 certified programmer and appear for second if you have already cleared any of scj1.1, scj1.2 or sj1.4 exam and want to be a java5.0 certified programmer.

So it upto you to decide what exactly you want.

310-055 is the primary exam. If you dont get any SCJP before, this is the exam that you have to take.

310-056 is an upgrade exam. If you are SCJP 1.0.2, SCJP 1.2 or SCJP 1.4 holders, you can take this exam to upgrade your SCJP to SCJP Tiger.
