Is anyone planning to take CX 310-055 exam. I do see few new topics got added to this exam. Is there any mock exams for this exam.

Hi Latha,
I am preparing for SCJP 5.0 . There is very less material available for this new version of SCJP. I started with Head First Java 2nd Edition (which covers Java 5.0 ). After that I am planning to read Complete Java 2 certification (by Phillip Heller) and then K&B's certification book (which is for SCJP 1.4). Then I might buy ePractice exams from SUN ($75)for SCJP 5.0 as no good mock exams are available for SCJP 5.0 I hope this information will help.

Regards,

Regards,

I did not try it, but Whizlabs released their "trial" version of SCJP 5.0 simulator:

Im not sure why Parteek suggests "Head first Java". If you look at the contents on Amazon you will see its Java 1.4. No mention of Generics, Autoblocking etc.
Same applies for "Complete Java 2 Certification" by Philip Heller. I used this book to do Exam 310-035 ie Java 1.4. This book has nothing on the new Java 5 features.
The SCJP tiger guide IS Java 5.0 but it's not very good as it's full of typing mistakes, but , as far as I can see, it's the only book currently available

Edition 2 of HeadFirst Java does cover JDK 1.5. I was browsing a copy in Borders the bookshop the other day. Whilst it is not aimed at the SCJP exam, it would be a useful book to have whilst studying.
