Hi,

I've set in my profile multiple times over the last few weeks that I no longer wish to receive any email from JavaRanch, yet this site keeps sending me JavaRanch book giveaway emails.

How do I stop these???

What is the email address that JavaRanch is actually sending the mailings to?

How would I tell you that information without posting it to the world at large?

It's the email address that I have registered here at JavaRanch, of course!

The reason Tom's asking is because if you've got the option to receive mail turned off, but are still getting mail, then the chances are good that you were actually, at some point, receiving the mail twice, at two different addresses. If you let him know exactly what address the mail is coming to, then he can track the problem down; otherwise, not.

You can communicate with him via email or JavaRanch Private Messaging; click on the appropriate icons after the "posted January 04, 2005 02:10 PM " of his post.

The reason I am asking is that many people have their email forwarded. It has often been the case that we are sending email to a different address than the address where the person is receiving the email. The address where you are registered is set to not receive email and it does not appear that this address is used by another member id.

Another thing that sometimes happens is that a person registers twice. Both times with the same e-mail.
