Hi all,

I've never given any Sun Certification exam until now. I am planning to take the following two exams:
1. The new Java 1.5 (SCJP 1.5) exam [Exam ID: CX-310-055], and
2. Java Web Services (SCDJWS) exam [Exam ID: CX-310-220].

I plan to take it by September end. I would appreciate your tips and advice in getting started and gearing up for the exam.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Jagan.

Hi Jags, we would appreciate your reading of older posts. Or do you think you're first asking this kind of question?

Hi Pavel,

I'm new to JavaRanch. The reason I posted that query was because I was searching the forums, but was not able to get any definitive and conclusive articles on how to approach the new Java 5.0 certification exam.

Anyways... guess I'll keep searching...

Regards,
Jags.

No need to express irritation to first-timers. Just let them know how they can search best and get the answers they need.

Thanks Michael Ernest and Mapraputa Is for understanding that I am a new-comer and being considerate. Appreciate it!

As a side note, I did spend a lot of time yesterday in reading through all the old articles and bookmarked many articles that are relevant to certification.

Cheers!
